We are seeking a Community Liaison to join our BHUCC team at our Philadelphia, PA location. The Community Liaison plays a pivotal role in engaging with the local community to provide support and resources to individuals, families, and community stakeholders experiencing behavioral health urgent care needs. Attends outreach and engagement events, provides benefit enrollment assistance, conducts outreach calls, makes referrals and linkages, and provides caring follow-up contact to individuals with general inquiries about the BHUCC. Collaborates with community organizations, local agencies, and BHUCC staff to ensure that those in need receive education and resources within the BHUCC. Earn $25.20 / hour. Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field; or other combination of education and experience acceptable to perform job duties. Bilingual English/Spanish speaking capacity preferred. Experience/knowledge of mental health challenges (personal or professional) and possess teaching skills or related training experience. Experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above. Experience in instruction of adult populations, the ability to effectively facilitate diverse groups, and the competency/flexibility to create and maintain a positive learning environment. Good person-to-person engagement and relationship building skills. Familiarity with local resources. Enthusiasm to reduce the negative attitudes/discrimination associated with mental illness and addiction disorders. Experience working in neighborhoods or with communities experiencing health inequities. Able to work 10 am -6 pm, flexibility for community events
