About the role
$ Sign on Bonus Eligible $
The CES - Non CDL Driver is responsible for performing the duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous material between Covanta facilities and the client's sites. In addition to transporting hazardous and non-hazardous material, drivers will be required to triage and package material on customers sites and at the facility.
Position Responsibilities: * Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations. * Drive non-CDL box truck to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations * Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations. * Maintain paperwork including vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and BOLs. * Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water etc. * Secure cargo prior to and during transit. * Complete additional assigned duties in the plant and one the road. * Must follow CES Fleet Manual Policies, e-Stewards Procedures and Naid Procedures.
Position Requirements: * High School Diploma, preferred * Must have valid driver's license
Physical Demand of the Role: * Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb * Ability to lift/carry 50lbs * Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces * Qualify to wear a full-face respirator (preferred) * Consistently work in various weather conditions
