DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Business Relationship Specialist serves as the department's key resource and subject matter expert for the research, development, approval, sale, and tracking of operational, product, clinical and service performance guarantees. Partners with account executives and consults with contacts both internal and at other Blue Plans to provide strategic performance guarantee solutions in support of the sales processes. Proactively identifies business needs and works with other departments across the organization to develop and maintain processes to meet these needs. Aggressively develops and implements business process improvements that enhance overall efficiency and speed to market. Performs other duties as assigned. * Responsible for the ongoing, independent management of a comprehensive end-to-end performance guarantee process; create business process improvement opportunities in managing PG's; drive implementation and execution of same. * Takes lead on sharing information across multiple functional areas. Exhibit the appropriate business acumen when interacting with senior leadership. * Consult with Sales to make strategic PG recommendations to stakeholders. Negotiate with stakeholders (Operations, Underwriting, Clinical Management, etc.) regarding prudent metrics and financial risk. * Research market and competitors' data for competitive advantages in the realm of performance guarantees. Identify market trends and assess opportunities to leverage company strengths in recommending new categories of guarantees. * Responsible for developing procedures to monitor, analyze, evaluate, and report performance status pertaining to sold guarantees.

QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing/related field or equivalent work experience * Minimum 5+ years' experience in a position emphasizing project management, market research, and/or negotiation. * Excellent communicate skills (both verbal and written) * Detail oriented, strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. * Must be self-directed and able to work independently. * Ability to interact with all levels of management * Must be able to understand and meet the requirements of various internal customers; understand how to navigate a large organization; and negotiate solutions effectively. * Must be able to collect, track, and report information as required to monitor trends and other metrics.
