Robert Half Accounts Payable in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

This is a PART-TIME (3 days a week), 100% ONSITE, TEMPORARY-to-HIRE opportunity that could lead to a permanent part-time position and is located in Northeast Philadelphia, PA, on the outskirts of the city limits. The working hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm (or 8:00am - 4:30pm).

A well-established company specializing in supply chain & metal distribution is looking to add an Accounts Payable Assistant to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices and vendor forms/statements, ACH/check runs, cost reconciliations, and monitor/service the AP mailbox (working w/ vendors via email and phone). They will train someone who has at least some fundamental accounting experience (and knows the fundamentals to working with General Ledger) - this could be an education in accounting or at least a couple years of experience. The ideal candidate must have excellent & extensive notetaking skills & organization, and be comfortable communicating via email/telephone with vendors for payments. Basic excel spreadsheet experience is also required. While experience would be great to have for check runs, ACH, and invoice processing, these things can be trained if you have a fundamental understanding or some experience in accounting and working with the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices and vendor forms/statements

• Process ACH/check runs/wire transfers

• Cost reconciliations

• Monitor/manage Accounts Payable mailbox

• Ensure payments, work with vendors (via email/telephone)

Requirements

Requirements:

• Extensive/excellent note-taking skills

• 1+ years experience or education in Accounting (particularly understanding how General Ledger & Coding works)

• Basic Excel

• Customer Service skills for vendor communication
