Neshoba County General Hospital-Nursing Home EMS - Director in Philadelphia, Mississippi

Neshoba County Ambulance Enterprise, located on the campus of Neshoba General Hospital, is seeking an experienced leader to serve as EMS Director. The EMS Director will oversee the management and operations of the Ambulance Service, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the Ambulance Service in alignment with organizational policies and strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement operational goals for quality patient care, employee recruitment and retention, and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, licensure requirements, and certification processes to maintain optimal standing.
  • Lead efforts in quality assurance, including monitoring performance metrics, conducting audits, and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in patient care and customer service, promoting patient and staff satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and stakeholders to integrate EMS services with broader organizational strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to EMS staff, promoting professional development and effective teamwork.
  • Serve as a liaison with external agencies, community partners, and regulatory bodies to represent the interests of the Ambulance Service.

Job Requirements:

  • National Registered Paramedic with a valid Mississippi State Paramedic license.
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, Mississippi Licensure Rules and Regulations, and destination guidelines within the East Central Mississippi Trauma Region.
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to thrive in a challenging environment and drive operational excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members.
  • Minimum of five years of prior experience in an EMS supervisor position, demonstrating progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Five years of prior experience as a licensed Paramedic, with a strong understanding of EMS operations and patient care standards.
