Neshoba County General Hospital-Nursing Home Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - PRN in Philadelphia, Mississippi

Neshoba General Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. The CNA will provide direct care and assistance to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The ideal candidate will hold a current Mississippi CNA license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and possess professional phone skills, excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transferring residents from beds to wheelchairs or other positions, and assisting with ambulation as needed.
  • Assist with positioning residents to prevent pressure ulcers and maintain comfort.
  • Monitor and record residents' vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant information as directed by licensed nursing staff.
  • Respond to resident call lights promptly and provide assistance as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents, including keeping rooms and common areas tidy and free of hazards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and empathy when communicating with residents, families, and visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure residents' needs are met and care plans are followed.
  • Utilize proficient computer skills for documentation and communication, if applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Current Mississippi CNA license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Professional phone skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Proficient computer skills preferred.
