The Management Analyst position provides professional assistance to the executive staff related to the development and coordination of daily operations and various city-wide activities. This position provides leadership support to the City Manger by planning and recommending organizational policies and performance strategies through providing administrative and management analysis.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Develops, oversees, and implements new and innovative programs and services that emphasize creative problem solving, solicits departmental participation to continuously improve the organization. Executes, coordinates, or assists with special projects on an analytical, strategic planning, and organization effectiveness nature for the CMO.

  • Responsible for supporting employee initiatives and events alongside People and Culture.

  • Implements CMO initiatives, coordinates, and plans initiatives.

  • Spearhead the development, coordination, and execution of vibrant events within the heart of Downtown Pflugerville.

  • Assists in Management Analysis function for CMO, including policy analysis procedural interpretation and implementation.

  • Research trends, demographics, and assesses community needs to project changes and resulting needs to plan strategically for the future.

  • Assists in investigating and resolving customer inquiries and complaints ensuring that contact is made by appropriate City staff and issues are resolved or final communication has occurred.

  • Manages multiple programs and special projects simultaneously.

  • Conducts complex and sensitive administrative, operational and management analyses, studies, and research projects including those involving City-wide issues, programs, policies, and procedures; selects, adopts and applies appropriate research and statistical techniques; gathers and analyzes data and information from various sources on a variety of specialized topics.

  • Will be required to work extended hours on evenings and weekends, as needed.

    Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

    Formal Education: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a related field. Relatable Work Experience: Two (2) years of experience in public administration. Training, Licenses, or Certifications: Valid Class C Texas driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in business or public administration.

    Disclaimer: Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is define as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
