The Director Product Management – Battery Portable Power, is responsible for achieving sales budgets, developing suitable sales and marketing strategies for region, managing key customer relationships, driving key Generac initiatives in region, and is accountable for all business-related activities with customers, while providing world class customer support.

This role directs their team to identify, assess, attract, and negotiate with potential partners in any segment ( e.g. residential, commercial, industrial) to attain sustainable growth in region, while also managing and expanding business strategies with existing customers. They are also responsible for coordinating all aspects of Generac transactions with customers (e.g. sales, legal, credit/payment, logistics, OE, and shipment).

This Director role oversees the Battery Portable Power product category and is based out of our Waukesha, WI headquarters.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Lead Global Product Management Team to develop battery portable power product category strategy to drive revenue and profitability for multiple product lines.

  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to other Product Management Teams and Executive Management to prioritize and align product strategies and roadmaps

  • Identify and develop strategic market opportunities

  • Collaborate to determine strategic distribution structure and channels

  • Develop suitable strategies to expand business with existing customers and attract new ones

  • Develop strategic relationships with End Users in key segments

  • Drive activities to support key launch events or product milestones

  • Metrix performance of Team utilizing Key Performance Indicators

  • Designs and direct the work of the functional area. Selects, coaches and develops the team

  • Set personal and team objectives that align with company strategy

  • Develop business plan to support new product development proposals.

  • Drive marketing efforts to support products

  • Participate in trade shows, sales training, and key customer interface

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience

10 years of progressive experience in marketing, business or engineering

7 years management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree

  • International leadership experience

  • Prior experience with battery products

  • Experience leading warranties and policy administration

  • Experience leading OEM/dealer distribution

  • Previous experience usin
