District 19 Community Service Board Accounting Manager in Petersburg, Virginia

District 19 Community Services Board (D19CSB) is seeking a qualified Accounting Manager to work in our Petersburg location.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for supervision of general accounting functions to include processing of financial transactions, daily bank deposits, payroll processing, grant accounting for restricted funding and ensuring integrity of data.

Primary responsibility for compliance with payroll and labor regulations, payroll benefit payments, and maintenance of data in automated payroll and accounting systems.

This position also assists with the annual budget, maintains policies over general accounting and payroll functions, prepares information for the annual audit process, analyzes data to assist in internal and external reporting and provides technical assistance to the Director of Administration.

The position also oversees the operation of the agency vehicle pool.

Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations Experience in processing payroll transactions and supervision over the payroll process Experience in automated general ledger and automated HR/Payroll system Experience using microcomputer applications including spreadsheets and word processing.

Preferred: Certified Public Accountant Knowledge of fund accounting and GAAP Ability to analyze and interpret financial data Ability to interact with all levels of personnel Ability to manage multiple priorities

This is a grade S-N12, full time position. Starting Annual Salary: $69,360

Salary is negotiable.
