Geo-Logic Associates, Inc Senior Engineering Geologist in Petaluma, California

Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 27 US office locations and an office in Peru. GLA is currently seeking an experienced full-time Senior Engineering Geologist to support projects at residential, commercial, industrial, solid waste, and mine sites, including facility siting, expansion design, remediation, or closure. Projects typically also include significant regulatory compliance components.

Office Location:Northern California - Petaluma, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Granite Bay

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
  • California CEG license
  • At least 10 years of previous work experience in developing, implementing, leading, and supervising field investigations that include geologic mapping, test pit/trench logging, fault investigations, borehole logging, surface and subsurface geophysical logging, data evaluation and interpretation.
  • Expertise in site investigation, landslide evaluation, slope stability evaluation, fault activity evaluation, and related work.
  • Expertise in evaluating field and laboratory test data, and preparing comprehensive site investigation reports
  • Strong project management, client management, proposal writing, oral, and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working collaboratively with a project geotechnical engineer
  • Existing established client relationships a plus
  • Familiarity with federal, state and local environmental regulations for waste disposal and mining sites
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certified

Candidate Must:

  • Be eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid drivers license
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Pay range:$150,000 to $200,000, commensurate with experience
