MILLER MACHINE LLC CNC and Saw Operator/Receiving Inspectio in PESHTIGO, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Operate computer-controlled saw and manual saw cutting metal or plastic raw material to size. Operate, or tend machining centers to cut,turn, bore, thread, form, or face metal or plastic stock. Inspect and load/unload incoming raw material, and outgoing LTL loads. Operate fork lift. Make deliveries and pick ups with company vehicle. Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances. Inspect sample workpieces to verify conformance with specifications, using instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and dial indicators. Lift metal stock or workpieces manually or using hoists, and position and secure them in machines, using fasteners and hand tools. Replace worn tools, saw blades, and cutting tools and dies. Start machining centers or saw and observe operations to ensure that specifications are met. Clean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions and rags. Check to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation. Confer with supervisors or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions or production errors or to obtain approval to continue production. Control coolant systems. Lift workpieces to machines manually or with hoists or cranes. Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems. Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: high school graduate or equivalent experience, prior experience running a saw, fork lift operation, clean driving record.
