Peru Central School LTS 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher in Peru, New York

The District expects to appoint individuals to the following position for the 2024 - 2025 school year: 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher - Five (5) Anticipated Vacancies Anticipated Assignment: PreK-12 Program Responsibilities May Include: Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs Use relevant technology to support instruction Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments Provide appropriate feedback on work Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies and school regulations Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures Participate in department, school and parent meetings Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities Other duties per contract Compensation: 50,992 - $97,378 - Commensurate with qualifications and experience Individuals interested in this posting should hold appropriate licenses/certifications.
