About the Role

We are seeking a Full-Time suitably experienced Quality Maintenance Manager to join our team located at Jandakot Airport.

Working with an experienced team, you are responsible for Premiair’s engineering maintenance control department. You will ensure Premiair standards, processes and training are in place to maintain compliance with CASA Regulations and our Client’s operating requirements.

You will manage the preparation and accomplishment of all maintenance and aircraft records in Premiair’s control and oversee all service functions, ensuring all activities are compliant with CASA Regulations, the Company’s Maintenance Organisation Manual (MOM), Safety Management System (SMS) and Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP).

You must have a sound understanding of CASA Regulations and a strong work ethic, with the ability to manage competing demands and frequent changes in the work environment, while managing yours and the team's time effectively to meet customer’s (external and internal) deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate is responsible for:

  • Aircraft maintenance control and compliance;

  • Devising and carrying out plans to obtain additional regional service location authority allowing additional customer aircraft to be supported;

  • On-time delivery of customer aircraft and maintaining appropriate statistics to measure, monitor, and improve shop performance;

  • Reviewing customer job scope prior to and during maintenance to ensure accuracy prior to aircraft departure;

  • Implementing and monitoring quality standards and processes;

  • Ensuring each Premiair service location meets technical and quality standards;

  • Management of internal and external audits, audit schedule timetable and training plans;

  • Customer liaison;

  • Ensuring the proper submission of reports of defects or unairworthy conditions in accordance with CASA Regulations;

  • CASA liaison for Premiair locations, aircraft and airworthiness compliance;

  • Compliance and up-keep of Premiair’s suite of operational manuals and processes;

  • Premiair’s safety management and compliance.


Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Candidates with the following skills and experience will be best positioned for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management, or related field preferred;

  • Minimum five (5) years of relative aviation experience in repair / maintenance environment preferred;

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Quality Assurance in related aviation environment preferred;

  • Experience in end to end completion of statutory audits and other regulatory requirements for internal and external clients Familiar with Safety Management Systems;

  • LAME licence favourable;

  • Sound knowledge of CASA regulations;

  • Strong written and verbal communication;

  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate to achieve desired goals and results;

  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
