SUMMARY

Develops processes to support both the Interior/Exterior Division and the Safety Systems Division in their efforts to increase productivity and quality by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Read parts drawings and make injection molding and assembly process plans to satisfy drawing. Must be able to coordinate between various departments such as Mold / Production / Quality to develop tooling quality for mass production. Must have ability to comprehend current manufacturing costs and make improvements in process (Cycle time reductions, defect reductions, etc.) to increase profitability. Must be able to communicate technical information to mold shop, production, quality department to accomplish goals and targets for process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. S. / B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write trial reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY AND PROBLEM SOLVING SYNTHESIS

Ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data and form hypothesis. Must have ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or sketched form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  1. Talking communication in 1 on 1 or group environment.

  2. Hearing - reasonable with or without aid.

  3. Walking and standing-average ability or above.

  4. Normal dexterity with hands, arms and fingers to operate tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We require eye protection on work floor as well as foot protection, and hearing protection in certain areas. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is at times exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
