Actalent Project Engineer in Peoria, Arizona

Description:

Based in Peoria, AZ, there is an immediate opening for a Project Engineer to join their growing team. This position is open due to their current project demands and is a long-term hire. Ideally someone who wants to become a PM down the road.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepares construction documents, including construction plans, basis of design reports, and technical specifications.

Monitor project schedules and review work schedules.

Coordinate material deliveries and deliveries of tools and equipment.

Coordinates with team members, staff, private utilities, municipalities, consultants, and clients.

Provides construction phase engineering support in the form of submittal reviews, RFI responses, engineer-of-record services, and startup and commissioning support.

Will be working closely with the foremen and superintendents to monitor all activities.

Prepare subcontractor agreements and supplier agreements and work through this communication around any changes in work or project costs.

Assist in creating project CAD drawings.

Responsible for quality control, schedules, and plan production.

Delegates work and provides technical guidance to assure design is technically sound and cost-efficient.

Assists with project and team management and mentors other design staff.

Processes plans and resolves issues with plan reviewers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Requires a 4 year engineering or construction related degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience

Working knowledge in Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
