General Electric Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management in Pensacola, Florida

Job Description Summary

Lead and support Lean/Programs/Initiatives Team strategic plans and day-to-day business tactical needs related to sourcing processes, procedures, suppliers, and sourcing tools (e.g. ERPs, Workflows, Sourcing website, data analysis). As part of the Regional Indirect Sourcing team, the role serves as the Go-To person and acts as the intermediate between Sourcing function and business stakeholders for areas of responsibility. The ideal candidate understands key business drivers and ensures that stakeholder requirements are met across multiple functions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for Renewables Americas Indirect Sourcing processes

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues using appropriate procedures. Consult People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.

  • Manage KPIs & metrics, and other data analyses & reporting to support achievement of goals & objectives for REN Americas Indirect Sourcing

  • For designated supplier facing activities, develop strong supplier relationships and serve as the interface between supplier and GE as required

  • Manage BuyDesk activities, including but not limited to supplier onboarding, AP hold resolution, and process improvements for specific businesses

  • Manage Axiem Tail Buy Program

  • Manage Renewables Americas Indirect Sourcing webpage

  • Demonstrate expertise in PO & other processes for various ERPs such as Oracle, SAP, & Axapta

  • Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the contribution of the team's work to the overall Sourcing group and businesses

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing processes and methodologies

Desired Characteristics

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and various ERPs

  • Strong oral & written communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Bi-Lingual (English-Spanish)
