Paragon Cyber Solutions Instructional System Designer in Pensacola, Florida

Paragon Cyber Solutions has an immediate opening for those ready for an exciting and dynamic career as a Instructional System Designer to provide Instructional Systems Design (ISD), curriculum development, and life-cycle support for Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) Learning Standards Officer (LSO) course development/conversion initiative and Testing Officer support. The ISD shall provide Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs) to perform courseware development/conversion and to support the CIWT Testing Program

Essential Functions

  • Design and develop training materials based on Government-provided documentation and using proven industry standards and DoD-approved processes. These training materials shall include the following:

  • Test/administrative materials and curriculum materials, such as Lesson Plans (LPs) and Trainee Guides (TGs)

  • Support materials, such as Visual Information (VI) and Instructional Media Materials (IMM)

  • Creating storyboards, interacting with subject matter experts (SMEs) and course management officials, and providing recommendations for changes to the TA

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a highly fluid environment, within a team and with other groups or customers

  • Strong degree of professionalism, excellent organization skills

  • Ability to work multiple tasks concurrently and switch between tasks quickly

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, and detail-oriented and ability to exercise diplomacy within a team environment

  • Ability to organize and participate in meetings, prepare clear oral and written direction, correspondence, and reports

  • Good problem-solving skills for data analysis and detection of latent issues in data products 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, maintenance, or related field

  • Five (5) or more years of applicable experience performing critical thinking, analysis, and/or problem-solving related work or applicable range maintenance and/or operations

  • Experience in current instructional delivery strategies, methodologies, and technologies; training devices and equipment; and ICW systems

  • Experience in all phases of ISD and development, including planning, coordinating, implementing, revising, converting, and maintaining training courseware

  • Experience developing web-based learning courseware that is, at a minimum, Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) 4.1 and Section 508 compliant

  • A functional understanding of Instructional System Design for training products and services

  • A broad understanding of current technical issues and training system design and development trends

  • Experience in cradle-to-grave support in the development, acceptance, and hosting of web-based learning within the NETC domain to include the Content Hosting and Report Management Service (CHaRMS), TestTrack, and Government Content Acceptance Testing (GCAT) processes and account management

  • Experience conducting analyses to identify and validate training requirements, documenting results of analyses, and developing and recommending alternative training strategies for decision-maker consideration

  • Experience developing training planning data, including resource requirements for initial, interim, and follow-on training requirements, and recommendations, justification and impacts

  • Experience developing performance-based training materials in the CPM, AIM II/LOM, Adobe Captivate, and Word template formats that support the follow-on training requirement
