Reports to : Manager, Operations

Overview

  • Main responsibilities are fulfilling orders per plan of the day (POD)

    Specific Responsibilities

  • Pull orders per pick sheets using electric walkie-rider.

  • Record what is picked.

  • Record any discrepancies (shortages, damage or replenishments needed).

  • Stage orders for delivery in designated locations.

  • Contribute with other staff members to maintaining the order and cleanliness of all warehouse locations.

  • Unload donated products from vehicles in a safe manner.

  • Receive donated products from walk-in customers who drop off products.

  • Store pallets in assigned locations and scan to corresponding location.

  • Identify spoiled or expired product and dispose of as directed.

  • At the end of the assignment, communicate the work completed and work not completed.

  • Engage positively with all levels of FB staff.

  • Operate forklift and other powered equipment as trained and assigned.

  • Operate other FB equipment as trained and assigned.

  • Immediately report performance issues observed or experienced with any FB powered equipment, vehicle, device or tool.

  • Able to communicate unexpected situations to manager.

  • Execute FB-specific technology following appropriate training.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 

    Qualifications

  • No field experience is required but experience with stand up reach and sit down forklifts is preferred.

  • Able to be certified for use of electric walkie-rider and forklift.

  • Able to successfully complete and achieve passing grades for required food safety training programs.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
