UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team! This position is per diem working within our Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan, NY! Experienced PTA's are preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply! We offer both outpatient and inpatient services within our Rehab setting at SSMH!

  • POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant works with patients to relieve pain, improve the body's movement and function, and limit disabilities resulting from injury or disease. He/She collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION:

  • Minimum :

  • Two-year associate degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.

  • LICENSE:

  • Minimum :

  • Current or eligible to practice as a physical therapy assistant in New York State.

  • PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum :

  • BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.

  • WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum :

  • New grads accepted

  • Preferred :

  • One to two years experience.

  • SKILLS:

  • Minimum :

  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations on any given day as requested.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

  • Computer literacy

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records

    Salary Range: $23.34-$25.27
