  • POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Works cooperatively wit the Outpatient staff, hospital admissions staff, and other secretarial staff. Greets visitors and customers, serves as telephone operator for the department, and schedules appointments for the doctor and primary therapist as necessary. Office work includes taking and distributing messages, filing, copying, faxing, and typing. Must know basic computer skills for data entry, setting up database information and queries. Assists with day treatment attendance, Medicaid prior approvals, and maintainence of statistical information for the department. Assists with registration of clients and collections of copays.

  • Minimum:

  • High school education.

  • Preferred:

  • Associates degree in secretarial science is preferred but time and work experience is also considered.

  • Experience in a medical field.

  • Office management preferred.
