JOB SUMMARYThe BUC shall formulate and implement business plans and ensure that business unit goals are met. These goals include, but are not limited to, business unit financial goals and customer satisfactions goals. The BUC shall have direct contact with key customers’ personnel as deemed necessary by the BUM/BUD. The BUC will have responsibilities, which are similar in nature to those of a BUM, but with the clear understanding that, the BUM/BUD will have the final authorization responsibility, unless this has been clearly delegated by same.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the long-term profitability of each individual profit center or business unit through attentive management of the following key processes: Accounts Receivables, Material Inventory Management (Days of Inventory), Nonrecurring Expenses, Return Material Authorization, Customer Claims Tracking, Customer Purchase Orders and SAP Sales Order Maintenance.

  • Propose negotiate and manage the customer pricing strategy and coordinate the development of all aspects of quotations including manufacturing, materials, test, packaging, tooling, freight and duties. The BUM/BUD will have the final approval and ownership of all quotes and proposals.

  • Drive cost reductions for any assembly in the individual profit center or business unit through material sourcing evaluations, manufacturing effectiveness evaluations, tooling design reviews and design evaluations.

  • To communicate clear and concise customer requirements to the workcell members and provide leadership and direction to ensure customer requirements are achieved and delivered on time.

  • To drive Customer Satisfaction as top priority within the business unit and ensure that the customers QBR score is within satisfactory or ideally Best in Class.

JOB QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS· Ability to analyze moderately difficult to complex financial issues, draw conclusions based on that analysis and recommend alternative solutions that meet the needs of various customers.· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.· Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.· Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
