Abbott Business Systems Analyst II, Shop Floor Apps in Penang, Malaysia

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

  • Working under general supervision on defined work assignments, is accountable for technical issues related to the manufacturing business systems, primarily the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Applies initiative by adapting work methods to different known and unknown situations; refers only significant deviations from approved policy/practice to supervisor or more senior level personnel for resolution.

  • For Business Analyst (Shop Floor Application) - Working under minimized supervision on defined work assignments, primarily responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the Production Center MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and other factory information systems to support FDA regulated manufacturing operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Internal: Communicates with all levels of management to ensure best practice operations procedures, etc. Work in partnership with the IT leadership while ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy and vision. Works with local information technology sections to coordinate project activities. Confers with customer organization managers to coordinate services and technical direction. Establishes the working relationships both among personnel in the group and with the efforts that are being supported. Acts as mentor to less experienced subordinate staff to develop solutions and resolve problems that could impact the department’s budgets or commitments.

  • ExternalInteracts, leads, and partners externally with major service providers/vendors to ensure continued adequate and reliable support services, an understanding of technology, and to contribute specific technical expertise.

Education
