Robert Half Field Technician in Pembroke Pines, Florida

Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in low voltage cabling, break/fix services, and remote imaging. The Field Technician will be responsible for on-site installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various hardware and network components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling, including CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optics.

  • Perform break/fix services for hardware components, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

  • Execute remote imaging and deployment of operating systems and applications to client devices.

  • Provide on-site technical support and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

  • Conduct site surveys and assess requirements for cabling and hardware installations.

  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.

  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration and functionality of systems.

  • Educate end-users on proper use and maintenance of equipment.

  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures during all field operations.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Field Technician or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of low voltage cabling installation and standards.

  • Proficiency in break/fix services for a variety of hardware components.

  • Experience with remote imaging tools and techniques.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
