How you make a difference

This position entails managing Medicare/Medicaid billing processes and processing medical claims, including CMS 1500 forms, alongside completing Social Security Administration (SSA) forms and securing signatures for changes in SSDI representative payees. Additionally, responsibilities involve completing Medicare Cost Report schedules, posting Department of Children and Families (DCF) collections, and addressing assorted issues with payers and service providers, with potential involvement in supporting other areas of the business office as needed. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, effective communication skills, and adeptness in navigating regulatory requirements and administrative procedures within the healthcare billing landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly billing operations for ancillary services under Medicare/Medicaid, ensuring accuracy in super bills and addressing any billing issues with Medicare or Medicaid, while maintaining and reconciling the Accounts Receivable report.

  • Manage the preparation of monthly Medicare Part D collections reports, reconciling collections to Department of Children and Families (DCF) collections, and organizing financial folders for new admissions, including the distribution of DCF Form 280 for patients or family members receiving SSDI benefits.

  • Execute repricing of medical invoices based on the Medicaid Fee Schedule, identify Medicare-eligible Persons Served, and handle the processing of Medicare claims, along with maintaining an updated log. Additionally, complete annual Medicare Cost Report schedules and post weekly DCF third-party collections, reconciling them to weekly reports processed.

  • Review Lab and Radiology invoices before payment to exclude Medicare-eligible Persons Served from payment. Conduct month-end physical inventory for Food Services supplies, handle collection letters for the hospital, and assist in annual audits by DCF, AHCA, and Corporate internal auditors.

  • Demonstrate adherence to the CCRS Code of Conduct and fulfill other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • Two (2) years’ experience in billing. Familiar with Medicare and Medicaid Fee Schedules. Analytical and with excellent communication and written skills. Computer literate. Knowledge of Medicare DDE or DCF billing systems preferred.

  • None required.
