Job Summary

Are you the type of person who is passionate about developing top-notch electrical systems and components within a collaborative team? In this role, you'll be responsible for designing cutting-edge electrical solutions for our state-of-the-art heavy equipment. We’re looking for team members who are eager to contribute their strong electrical problem-solving skills in a cross functional team environment.

What You’ll Do

  1. Analyze, define, and document electrical requirements for safety, environmental, cost, and system reliability .

  2. Design and develop electrical systems and harnesses based on application requirements , in adherence to internal and industry standards .

  3. Support the building and testing of machine control systems in collaboration with engineering technicians and adjacent engineering teams.

  4. Identify and l ead continuous improvement initiatives involving electrical design processes, best practices, and testing .

  5. Maintain and enhance existing electrical designs, implement ing optimization s to best support downstream departments and users .

  6. Contribute experience to community of practice groups , driving improvements within the electrical design domain.

    What We’re Looking For

  • Four-year college degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in electrical engineering, including a deep knowledge of electrical principles, components, and application into control systems.
  • Proven a bility to design complex electrical harnesses with a high level of detail to meet the needs of a rugged application.

  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Zuken e3, Solidworks , AutoCAD).

  • Proficiency in developing, debugging, and deploying electrical systems for heavy machinery with a large variety of circuits .

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective cross-functional teamwork to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall product design.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple electrical design tasks concurrently, exhibiting strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience with CAN (Controller Area Network) communication protocols such as SAE J1939.

  • Proficiency with electrical analysis tools such as mu ltimeters, oscilloscopes, CAN diagnostic, frequency generators, and programmable loads .

  • Understanding of design considerations regarding wire harness manufacturing processes.

  • Experience utilizing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or other tools to identify vulnerabilities in control systems.

  • Understanding of embedded hardware circuitry and considerations for system interactions.

  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Ncode , Dewesoft, or Matlab .

  • Knowledge of environmental and safety standards applicable to heavy equipment design.

  • Understanding of hydraulic system principles and their integration with electrical designs.

    Travel

  • Occasional travel is expected of this position.
