1 - First Shift

Are you the type of person who is passionate about working with top-of-the-line electronic systems? In this role you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative machinery and equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design engineers, software developers, field applications technicians and product managers to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, identify, and diagnose system issues. We’re looking for team members who are eager to demonstrate their strong problem-solving skills to contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.

What You’ll Do

  1. Develop and execute test plans and procedures for evaluating the performance, functionality, and reliability of complex machinery systems.

  2. Conduct integration testing to ensure seamless operation and communication between various hardware and software components or sub-systems.

  3. Perform regression testing to validate system functionality after modifications, upgrades, or defect resolutions.

  4. Investigate and diagnose system faults, identify root causes, and work with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.

  5. Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

  6. Document test procedures, results, and findings accurately and comprehensively.

  7. Collaborate closely with design engineers, software developers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing requirements and priorities.

  8. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance testing methodologies, tools, and processes to improve overall performance, quality, and reliability.

    What We’re Looking For

  • Associate s degree in math, science, electronics or engineering technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of control system theory and applications.

  • Ability to read engineering documents and technical drawings.

  • Knowledge of software development practices.

  • Preferred knowledge in the communication protocols of CAN and J1939.

  • Ability to understand needs of the customer and incorporate into functional testing requirements.

  • Ability to analyze, develop and write test specifications.

  • Familiarity with DC electrical systems and design.

  • Familiarity with test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and data logging devices.

  • Ability to work with simulat ors to conduct SIL, HIL, MIL, PIL testing and verification .

    Travel

  • Occasional travel is expected of this position.

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
