1 - First Shift

Are you the type of person who is passionate about autonomy and technology? In this role you will develop software for autonomous mobile equipment in the agricultural and construction sector. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced, agile team, who can use their creativity to develop code for our machines from user interface to machine control and everything in between.

What You'll Do

  1. Design and validate algorithms and tools for sensor fusion.

  2. Innovate and improve subsystems for mapping, localization, and object tracking for mobile equipment.

  3. Support the application of perception and vehicle planning with multi-body kinematics for Vermeer equipment.

  4. Develop data models and apply machine learning algorithms to analyze large data sets to identify pattern, trends,and market dynamics to help plan product development.

  5. Collaborate on the creation of complex algorithms or software architectures.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering in the field of Computer Science or other specialties such as Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Physics, or Math and four years of combined experience in Product Development and Autonomy.

  • Software development skills in C++, Python, Matlab.

  • Self-driven/enthusiastic/motivated to solve exciting engineering problems.

  • Basic knowledge of machine learning and AI.

  • Basic knowledge of mission planning and IOT connectivity for autonomy devices.

  • Ability to obtain skills in working with vehicle autonomy.

Travel

- Occasional travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
