About The Opportunity: Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint. Must have general knowledge of SAP functions in purchasing.
Essential Functions: Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines. Be aware of responsibilities and accountability as clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems. Assist production lead people and managers in the purchasing aspects of all departmental supplies. Assist with tracking laminating glue, starch, caustic, etc. Provide reports on laminating glue, starch, caustic, etc. to ensure appropriate levels are available. Create and convert purchase requisitions for materials indicated on the Materials Request Form. Order supplies and materials through use of a purchasing card (p-card). Annual purchasing comparisons- (bids for lawn/snow removal, AVI, Cintas, etc.). Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance. Lead tailgates and participate in the employee engagement committee efforts. Sort and deliver internal mail and packages as needed. Operate mail machine. Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives. Track and verify employee training/qualification. Assist with timekeeping and verification. Plan and prepare for operational visits and events, new hire onboarding and training. Create, update, post to TVs and distribute announcements, quarterly newsletters, information, etc. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors.
