DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. Product Engineer - 4/10hr days (Mon-Thurs; plus potential OT) in Pekin, Illinois

We are looking for a talented Product Engineer to facilitate the design and manufacturing of our products. As a Product Engineer, you will be working closely with the Vice President & Manager of Engineering to create industry-relevant products that meet company specifications. You will also be required to design and oversee the product manufacturing process to ensure that our products meet safety requirements. To ensure success as a Product Engineer, you should have excellent analytical and design skills, good working knowledge of design software, and advanced troubleshooting skills. A top-notch Product Engineer should be able to transform ideas into high-end products that perfectly meet the needs of our customers.

SCHEDULE/COMPENSATION

• Monday through Thursday (4, 10-hour days)

• 6:00AM - 4:30PM

• Possible OT on Friday and/or Saturday as production demands require

• $65k salary DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Responsible for creating, documenting, developing drawings and specifications used to manufacture, assembly, and test/inspect Company products.

  • Utilize MRP/ERP software for bill of material and routing instructions to support production.

  • Analyzing market and industry product trends.

  • Conducting theoretical testing on design models.

  • Creating full product designs and specifications using computer software modeling techniques.

  • Selecting product materials and designing the product manufacturing process.

  • Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the production and manufacturing team members

  • Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors

  • Enforces DCX-CHOL Enterprises policies and safety practices.

  • Participates in training, safety, and quality programs.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and to meet deadlines is required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant prior job experience. Previous experience working as a Product Engineer a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of CAD, AutoCAD, and 3-D Modeling software.

  • Advanced analytical and design skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to visualize theoretical models and design ideas.

  • Good project management skills.

  • A keen eye for detail.

  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment

  • Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience

  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) Techniques.
