POSITION SUMMARY

The billing clerk will gather data, calculate charges and fees, and create AIA billing and standard invoices for billing purposes for multiple departments in the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statements

  • Create AIA billing invoices promptly according to contract guidelines and company practices; submit invoices to customers.
  • Creates billing invoices of bonds to contracts.
  • Verifies that change orders have been entered into the system.
  • Verifies the accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
  • Completes and submits lien waivers when required.
  • Researchers any customer discrepancies related to billing and communicates those discrepancies to the Project Manager and customer for clarification and resolution.
  • Analyze contracts and execute the accurate setup of billing processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in the preparation of AIA billing forms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculators, and copiers.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully adhere to a deadline schedule while prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

EXPERIENCE

  • Construction and AIA billing experience is preferred.
  • At least two years of related experience is required.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED required.
