Our client, a leading manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team.

Position Title: Production Supervisor

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Processing and Downstream teams, ensuring adherence to standards of safety, cleanliness, and productivity. This role involves direct supervision of manufacturing personnel, implementing protocols, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Championing Berners’ values and fostering a team-oriented work environment.

  • Conducting daily production meetings to align objectives and address challenges.

  • Managing day-to-day production activities, including safety protocols, product changeovers, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

  • Collaborating with Quality Control and Quality Assurance Departments to uphold product integrity and compliance with quality standards.

  • Leading efforts to optimize production efficiency, control costs, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

  • Mentoring and developing production personnel, emphasizing skill enhancement and performance improvement.

  • Ensuring equipment functionality and optimal utilization to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

  • Overseeing production line setup, operation, and shutdown procedures, ensuring adherence to specifications.

  • Implementing lean manufacturing principles, including 5S methodology, to streamline operations and maximize efficiency.

  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate production records and documentation.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participating in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.

  • Facilitating training programs in collaboration with Safety and Quality Assurance teams to promote a culture of safety and quality excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a related industry.

  • Strong understanding of safety, sanitation, manufacturing operations, and quality standards.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to navigate basic software programs.

  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and effective communicator with high integrity.

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools and principles preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive positive change initiatives.
