Mississippi Blood Services Part- Time Marketing Specialist / Flowood in Pearl, Mississippi

This Position is for a Part-Time Marketing Specialist with a blood service agency located in Flowood, MS.

Duties and Responsibilities include: Coordinates Donor Resources marketing and communications program for all blood drives and promotional events; Develops marketing programs and materials that can have a definite impact on the recruitment of donors; Actively assists with the ongoing Social Media efforts, assist with website content maintenance and works on promotional events; Assists with coordinating marketing activities to include: special mailings, delivering information, special events, campaigns, donor recognition, and other special projects; Creates innovative graphic materials such as posters, ads, etc. as required by Donor Resources and Marketing Departments; Generates donor text lists daily and generates blood drive emails weekly; Vast knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Publisher; Creates postcards for each blood drive as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements include: Bachelors degree and Two years related experience and/or training; Previous experience in a fast paced Marketing environment preferred; Ability to read and interpret a variety of documents; Ability to write reports and correspondence; Ability to communicate effectively with recruiters, associates and outside customers; Ability to work with and through others in a friendly, cooperative, unselfish manner in building relationships; Ability to communicate in a manner that will stimulate, motivate, and persuade others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns; Work at a faster than-average pace while handling detail work accurately; Ability to develop expertise in area of operations; Cooperative and team oriented and can lead by example in assigned role; Proficiency in computer usage and common office software applications; Ability to work a flexible schedule when required; Works collaboratively with others toward shared goals; Accepts responsibility for positive and negative outcomes; Treats others with courtesy, honesty and respect; Maintains a positive, can-do attitude; Using effective verbal and written communication skills; Dependably works required hours and completes required assignments; Takes personal responsibility for ensuring work gets done with minimal direction; Represents our organization positively in the workplace and the community; Ability to identify useable marketing data via efficient use of resources; Detail oriented and stable work history; Pre-employment drug testing required.
