Mercury Systems Lead RF Test Technician/NPI Engineer - RF Components & Modules in Peachtree Corners, Georgia

Job Summary: As a Lead RF Test Technician/NPI Engineer, will be responsible for transitioning MMIC and RF tuner products from engineering into production. This will involve hands-on testing and debug of RF components and microelectronic assemblies operating from HF through Ka band. Work with the engineering and production personnel to create and implement test procedures, coordinate assembly activities, and insure on-time delivery of new products, in a high-mix, low-volume environment. You will be a part of a world-class Engineering Team for our Microelectronics division, a leading provider of dense, rugged, secure microelectronics solutions for next generation defense applications. We all work together to deliver best‑in‑class broadband RF solutions meeting stringent specifications while offering reduced size, weight, and power consumption necessary for portable and low power platforms. Our product line includes amplifiers, attenuators, filters, splitters/couplers, switches, and tuners. We are an agile team focused on delivering innovative, high-quality products to our customers on time and on budget. Location: Marriottsville, MD Duties and Responsibilities: * Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of RF electronic assemblies and components; assembles units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications * Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical issues down to the component-level utilizing appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment * Assists engineers in development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications * Record, and organizes test results and communicate status of production efforts * Perform routine maintenance and repair of electrical components, including circuit boards, sensors, and wiring * Develop and implement new test methods and procedures, including automated test software * Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties Required Qualifications: * Associates degree in Electronics, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 8+ years of work experience with component-level testing and troubleshooting of electronic products * Strong understanding of RF electronics circuit fundamentals and measurement techniques * Experience working with test equipment including vector network analyzers, RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, digital multi-meters, and basic electronic tools * Must be able to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams, block diagrams, and PCB layouts * Must be willing to work full-time and on-site in our Marriottsville, MD location * This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations.
