VIP Care Primary Care Physician - Atlanta Metro, GA in Peachtree City, Georgia

The Little Clinic of Georgia LLC (TLC) and National Family Medical Association of Georgia LLC dba Better Health Group Services, Inc. (BHG) have contracted for BHG physicians to provide patient care services in select TLC locations to support value-based primary care (VBPC) delivery, including complex care management, controlled substance prescribing, and plan-required physician attribution. 

To support this partnership, BHG is actively recruiting physicians who are able to:

  • Work 20-25 hours (or 2.5 days) per week in a 1099 or W-2 capacity

  • Work onsite at two (2) The Little Clinic locations each work week

  • Provide clinical supervision over four (4) Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioners

    Physician Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide physician services and oversee quality care of patients and ensure that all persons presented to the physician for health care services receive medically necessary, timely, and appropriate treatment or are appropriately referred for such treatment in accordance with the community standards of care, quality assurance program, standard operating procedures and managed care requirements.

  • Provide appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for patients.

  • Prescribe and manage patient medication and/or procedures as is medically appropriate in accordance with applicable law.

  • Complete medical, billing, administrative, and other patient records promptly, ensuring consistency with applicable legal requirements, specialty practices, and TLC's medical record documentation policy.

  • Comply with all standards applicable to patients' rights including, but not limited to, self-determination, informed consent, patient grievance procedures, and applicable law.

  • Abide by all TLC and BHG policies and procedures and behave in a professional and ethical manner according to those generally accepted standards of deportment, demeanor and attire expected of a medical doctor and the American Medical Association’s Code of Ethics.

  • Provide clinical supervision over Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioners and other employees, as applicable and/or as assigned, in their provision of medical services.

  • Participate in and provide services in accordance with TLC’s contracts with all managed care plans/organizations, payers, health insurance companies, governmental programs or other contractual arrangements under which health services are provided by TLC providers.

  • Provide on-call or other coverage for other providers in TLC clinics.

  • Provide virtual and telemedicine medical services and in-person medical services at TLC clinics.

  • Promote and engage in TLC’s collaborative care model by practicing interprofessional care delivery inclusive of Kroger pharmacists and dietitians.

  • Review and analyze TLC-determined claim and utilization data and coordinate and manage patient care, referral services, and associated ancillary services with appropriate utilization and case management staff.

  • Attend TLC medical/administrative team meetings and participate in designated TLC clinical improvement committees, programs and/or projects.

  • Cooperate with and participate in TLC marketing and clinic growth efforts, including the use of Physician's name or likeness in marketing efforts.

  • Submit to TLC any correspondence regarding quality management reviews, or credentialing or re-credentialing activities conducted by any health plan, state agency, federal agency, or other entities.

  • Comply with credentialing requirements of TLC.

  • Interface and coordinate with the TLC employees, contractors, and medically appropriate and third-party payor-required referral networks to maintain objectives of TLC and managed care organizations.

  • Fulfill such related additional duties as reasonably requested by TLC.

    Physician Minimum Qualifications:

  • Maintain a current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.

  • Hold relevant, active certification from a recognized board (i.e., American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association Board).

  • Maintain participating provider status with Medicare, Medicaid, and Third Party Payor programs and shall not and at no time have been excluded from participation in any federally-funded healthcare program, including, without limitation, Medicare or Medicaid.

  • Maintain at all times current unrestricted federal and state permits to prescribe medications, including narcotics and controlled substances.

  • Maintain medical staff membership and admitting privileges with at least one hospital in-network with relevant payors, if required.

  • Maintain an active Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) if functioning in a 1099 contractor capacity.  

    Physical Requirements:

  • Full range of body motion, including handling and transferring patients, manual and finger dexterity; including eye-hand coordination.

  • Requires standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and reaching at arm’s length and overhead in a clinic for prolonged periods. 

  • Must be able to lift and move patients and medical equipment as needed.

  • Requires ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbs. 

  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have own means of transportation.
