Wencor Group Llc Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting - WPTC in PEACHTREE CITY, Georgia

Overview of the Position:

The Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting, is responsible for assisting with the preparation and analysis of reports containing financial information, both for internal and external stakeholders. They will actively participate in the consolidation of financial data across legal entities and ensure the broader financial reporting department operates in an efficient and effective manner while maintaining compliance with internal control and policy requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monthly corporate close and consolidation procedures - deadline driven activities including consolidating journal entries, subsidiary trial balance uploads, closing process review and reconciliations.

  • Compile financial statement details and assist in preparation of month-end schedules to support internal reporting needs.

  • Assist with the quarterly review and year-end audit process and provide supporting documentation and analysis as needed.

  • Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) including appropriate supporting documentation.

  • Ensure calculation schedules are supported and sign-off as reviewer for SOX documentation.

  • Assist with projects and technical accounting research as needed.

  • Facilitate integration and accounting of newly acquired entities.

  • Implements a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks and maintains responsibility for the fiscal integrity of all financial reporting and operations

  • Promote continuous improvement within the department and throughout the organization using a process approach and risk-based thinking.

  • Lease accounting software database maintenance in accordance with ASC 842

  • Support the implementation of software solutions to facilitate improved financial planning and reporting processes.

  • All other duties as specified by the company.

  • Experience working in a Public Company environment, Big 4 preferred

  • Experience working with financial ERPs (Infor M3 is a plus, Quantum is a plus)

    Education / Experience Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Five years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
