Glass Receiving / Warehouse Under the direction of the Production Control Manager or designee, incumbent is responsible for receiving and issuing raw material from the warehouse, performing the correlating transactions and maintaining the raw warehouse. Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Pulls material out of the warehouse to ensure that orders are complete and delivered in a timely manner. Maintains the warehouse ensuring that all cycle counts for glass are complete and accurate. Inspects raw material to ensure that all product for usage is correct. Identifies and tags crates of raw material verifying the appropriate destination point. Attends all scheduled meetings as required. Regularly maintains and completes PM for company vehicles (forklift) that are used to deliver goods. Observes and adheres to all job safety rules. Assists in departmental housekeeping duties, i.e., sweeping, wiping, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: Communications skills conducive to follow through of all receiving functions. Must be able to interact with customers and suppliers on a regular basis. Ability to operate computers and relevant software. Ability to maintain excellent attendance record while working flexible hours. Ability to obtain and retain forklift certification. Must maintain a clean and safe work area. DIFFICULTY OF WORK Work consists of moderately complex, standardized tasks in the glass industry along with detailed computer data entry. The ability and understanding to make practical and consistent decisions, with product and personnel, is essential to the operation. The individual must have working knowledge of the department with the ability to assist in the planning and lay-out of the day-to-day operation. Incumbent will possess the ability to follow verbal and written instructions to interpret technical guides as well as practical knowledge of tools as to shipping and receiving procedures.
