DATTCO recently won a new contract with the Rhode Island Department of Education and so we are opening a new school bus fleet maintenance shop in the Pawtucket area.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the maintenance shop
  • OSHA compliance
  • Supervise technicians and maintenance personnel
  • Work in coordination with school bus operations
  • Maintain good customer relations
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DATTCOs policies and procedures and all applicable laws
  • Ability to train, coach and develop staff

Minimum requirements:

  • Must have a minimum 3 years vehicle maintenance supervisory experience, transportation experience preferred.
  • Must be able to create teamwork environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management and customers.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Windows.
  • Complete set of tools.
  • Experience with school bus, motor coach and truck repair.
  • Lifting up to 75 pounds.
