System One Product Designer in Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Product Designer

Our well known, fun client in Rhode Island is looking for a Product Designer to join their team for a long-term contract. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a franchise brand with new ways to play and innovate, while also infusing exciting IP and Entertainment from notable licensed partners. Your team members will consist of the industries’ best Marketing, Engineering, Packaging and Researchers, to help deliver a product line that grows skills and helps define the modern game experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with US and international teams in Marketing, Engineering, Graphics and Project Management

  • Ideate, innovate and build a pipeline of inventive gaming concepts

  • Develop the next generation of games to meet cost, time and quality standards

  • Collaborate with best-in-class Entertainment and Licensing partners such as Marvel, Nintendo, Viacom and More

  • Listen to feedback from internal and external teams, readily tackle problems and pivot in fast-paced environment

  • Handle all product designs submissions to licensors for formal approvals

  • Collaborate closely with the team Director on people, products and process

  • Be ready to pitch ideas to all levels of management and licensing partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Toy Design, Industrial Design, Illustration or relevant discipline

  • 3+ years of experience with product design and development ideally in kids, family, or entertainment fields

  • Highly skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator - key focus on kid-friendly illustration styles that show off fun, energetic ideas

  • Passion for Toys, Games and, all things fun with a strong handle on current trends and a love for Pop Culture, Streaming, Movies, Video Games, etc.

  • Strong visual and written communication skills that will bring focus and clarity to both presentations as well as global correspondence

  • Leadership and management skills

  • High level of design maturity and comfort with working in a fast-paced environment
