Senior Technical Professional, Logistics Engineering

KBR Is seeking a Senior Technical Professional (Logistics Engineering) to join our Team !

This position is in support of PMA-265 Technical Directive (TD) Management Team and the PMA-265 System Configuration Set (SCS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the release of Airborne Software Change TDs. PMA-265 is responsible for acquiring, delivering and sustaining the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft , ensuring mission success for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aviators, as well as international partners to include Australia, Canada, Finland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Spain and Switzerland.

The SCS IPT is responsible for F/A-18 & EA-18G Type/ Model/ Series (TMS) mission computer Operational Flight Program (OFP) software, including development, integration, test, delivery, and maintenance

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the process for development, amending, and routing for review and approval, all documentation required for the release of change type and bulletin TDs, in accordance with these manuals.

  • Ensures proposed TDs are in compliance with Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and approved NAVAIR Change Control Boards (CCB), determine the requirements for Interim Flight Clearances and submit requests to Program Office IPT engineers.

  • Ensures TDs are reviewed for accuracy, logistics supportability, validated and verified through Type Commander (TYCOM) coordination, and all TD documentation discrepancies are corrected prior to publishing.

  • Provides Integrated Logistic Support in reviewing ECPs, deviations, waivers, and TDs for accuracy and impact.

  • Reviews validation and verification results for acceptance or rejection, and communicate recommendations regarding problem areas, improvements, impacts, and/or planning factors to the respective Deputy Assistant Program Management for Logistics (DAPML).

  • Research, analyze, and interprets TDs, drawings, and installation instructions provided by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Fleet Support Teams (FST), DAPMLs and engineers, and draft and process waivers for NAVAIR approval.

  • Review, and tracks issued TDs for Incorporation/Non-Incorporation (INC/NINC) status, monitor INC/NINC progress of TDs, and communicate findings to the SCS IPT.

  • This work may be performed at NAS PAX River, MD, hybrid, or full-time remote.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. plus 4 to 7 years of experience in operational logistics support or maintenance engineering. This experience must also include at least 4 years of specific experience in operations of systems in the field or maintenance of systems in the field.

  • Military Maintenance Administration experience with work history supporting Technical Directives and Engineering Change Plans is required.

  • USN Aviation Maintenance Administration experience and/or NAVAIR PEO(A)/PEO(T) program office experience managing technical directives.

  • Requires a working knowledge of MS Office suite of products, to include MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.

  • Must be able to travel as required by contract.

  • An active secret level security clearance is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Functional knowledge of DECKPLATE, NATEC, and OneTouch system websites are a plus.

  • Familiarity with NAVAIR SOP 00-25-300 and NAVAIR M-25-300 manuals is preferred.
