Jacobs RF Systems Engineer, Senior in Patuxent River, Maryland

Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a prime contract that is based out St. Inigoes, MD. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be considered an expert by providing technical guidance and information to meet all requirements. Also provide technical expertise in system security requirements, designs security architecture and develops a security design for program platforms. Develops System Engineering plans, and procedures in accordance with DoD best practices. Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of RF communications equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.

The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers. Our program includes easily available process information and support for subordinates across the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior Systems Engineer functions:

  • Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of RF communications equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 10 years

  • At least 5 years must be in performing the identified function related to DoD communication systems or networks.

  • At least 5 of the 10 years must include performing the identified functions on Project-25 compatible public-safety radio communications sites and systems. Experience may be concurrent.

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Engineering, computer science, or an IT discipline.

  • DoD 8570.1 compliant IAT Level III certification: GSLC, CAP, CASP, CISM and/or CISSP

Preferred:

  • Should have experience working with the XACTA IA Manager.

  • Should be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.

  • Prior military experience is a 'preference' for this customer.

  • Should be committed to continuous learning and system development because of the constant developing nature of cyber-attacks.

  • Should have the ability to quickly learn new concepts, data formats, and software.

  • Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team player, and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
