Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a Computer and Information Systems Manager – Advanced, for a prime contract that is based out of St. Inigoes, MD. As an Advanced Computer and Information Systems Manager, you will:

  • Apply analytic techniques in the evaluation of project IT systems objectives.

  • Analyze requirements, status, budget, personnel resources, and schedules.

  • Track project status and schedules.

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate IT systems to support activities and projects.

  • Acts as the functional team lead for teams performing the above functions.

  • Be considered an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.

  • Provide technical expertise in system security requirements, designs security architecture and develops a security design for program platforms.

  • Develop System Engineering plans, and procedures in accordance with DoD best practices.

The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers. Our program includes easily available process information and support for subordinates across the team.

Responsibilities: Program Manager functions

  • In addition to the duties above, this position also acts as the functional team lead for teams performing the above functions. This includes acting as the overall lead, Program Manager, and administrator for portions of the contracted effort supporting NCR communications systems and networks. Serving as the primary interface and point of contact for the GPLs and other Government authorities for compliance, reporting and technical project issues.

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise on all matters that impact or effect the security of the information system.

  • Assist in the development and execution of an enterprise level continuous monitoring program to minimize security risks and ensure compliance with that program on a routine basis.

  • Developing, updating, and submitting the System Security Plan and other required documentation that make up the Security Authorization Package Conduct configuration management for security-relevant changes to software, hardware, and firmware.

  • Perform and deliver security impact analyses of changes to the system or its environment of operation.

  • Assess the effectiveness of system security controls on an ongoing basis to determine system security status.

  • Maintain and enforce IT security policies and implementation guidelines for customer systems in diverse operational environments.

  • Provides configuration management for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 10 years

  • Bachelor’s Degree – in either Technical, Computer Science or IT, Engineering, or Business discipline.

  • IAM Level III Certification: CISM or CISSP or GSLC or CCISO

  • US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.

  • At least 5 years must be in performing the identified function related to DoD communication systems and/or networks.

  • At least 1 of the 5 years must be performing as a team leader or supervisor.

Preferred:

  • Should be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.

  • Prior military experience is a 'preference' for this customer.

  • Should be committed to continuous learning and system development because of the constant developing nature of cyber-attacks

  • Should have the ability to quickly learn new concepts, data formats, and software.

  • Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team player, and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
