Job Description

Are you a highly motivated Senior System Administrator with demonstrated experience performing system administration functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems networks?. A week in the life of a System Administrator (Junior):

  • Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.

  • Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users

  • Provide technical assistance to computer users.

  • Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network system

  • Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

  • Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems

  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities

  • Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages

  • Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution

  • Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning

Job Requirements

  • Must have current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret. US Citizenship required.

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline.

  • 0-2 years of experience in system administration

  • COMPTIA Security+ or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required.

  • Operating system certification (i.e. Windows or Linux)

  • Knowledge of networking principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $75,000-90,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
