Job Description:

  • This requisition is contingent upon L3Harris winning the Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Services in Support of Presidential Helicopter contract.

  • The anticipated date of Contract Award is March 2025 with an anticipated start date of March 2025 .

  • The location for the performance of this program is Patuxent River, MD. Employee must be located on site.

  • Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Within parameters, determines routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost. Consults rate schedule for specific rates depending on method of shipment and/or distance shipped. Assesses most economical and efficient common or contract carrier, to transport shipments. Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments. Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications. Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

    Essential Functions:

  • Performs technical supply management to include the storage, requisition, receipt, issue and cataloging of inventory items tools and IMRL necessary to support maintenance of any aircraft assigned and emerging maintenance requirements including Phase Kit items.

  • Maintains records of tools issued and returned.

  • Maintains records of and ensures calibration of all required items (METCAL).

  • Manages inventory, receives, stores, and issues common/specialized tools, hand-tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, consumables, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices.

  • Ensures accountability and supports search for missing tools.

  • Prepares periodic inventory and keeps continuous inventory and requisitions stock as needed.

  • Unpacks and stores new equipment.

  • Visually inspects tools and/or measures with micrometer for wear or defects. Reports damaged and/or worn-out equipment to superiors.

  • Maintains tools by applying grease or other preservative, using brush or spray gun.

  • Identifies tools and equipment, using electric marking tool, tags or engrave information.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

  • Graduate of the IMRL Asset Manager Course C-55S- 2020 or Support Equipment Asset Managers Course D-555-0026.

  • Requires working knowledge of supply and METCAL/Support Equipment Resource Management Information System management sn reporting procedures.

  • Minimum of 6 years experience performing tasks listed in position description.

  • Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance in accordance with the NISPOM codifying 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM Rule.

  • Must be able to satisfy personnel security requirements for Yankee White access in accordance with the DoD Directive 5210.55 (Presidential Support Program) and DoD Instruction 5210.87 (Selection of DoD Military and Civilian Personnel and Contractor Employees for Assignment to Presidential Support Activities). A government requisite pre-screening checklist will be requested from all applicants considered.

  • Must be able to travel. Work will be performed at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD, with occasional performance at Quantico and Anacostia, VA, and/or global sites for emergent requirements.
