Vectrus Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) Sr. Level Model Based Systems Engineering Analyst (MBSE) in Patuxent River, Maryland

At V2X, we are making a difference by providing support to programs at NAVAIR . This office is responsible for research, development, acquisition, and sustainment of the Navy's Autonomous Aircraft program . We are looking for a Model Based Systems Analyst / Digital Engineer with CAMEO experience for collaboration on common aircraft architecture, autonomy architecture, and ground control segments for the Autonomous Aircraft program. The MBSE will support the engineering team to establish and manage digital representations of the system’s technical baselines, guide the analysis and synthesis of requirements, Interfaces, Behavior, Structure and Parametrics (RIBS-P) across the systems technical baselines utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) / SysML and various modeling and simulation tools. This position requires the candidate to have an active US DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

  • Support the engineering team to establish and manage digital representations of the Autonomous system’s technical baselines.

  • Guide the analysis and synthesis of Requirements, Interfaces, Behavior, Structure and Parametrics (RIBS-P) across the Autonomous Systems technical baselines utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) / SysML and various modeling and simulation tools including CAMEO.

  • Provide support in establishing the foundation of a digital engineering environment across various tools and classification levels in support of program priorities.

  • Guide and manage the implementation of the necessary methods, process, tools, training, and network data transfers to establish an efficient, synchronized, and cohesive digital engineering environment across Government and Industry reconciled against the authoritative source of truth.

  • Perform the following using MBSE tools / methods: requirements analysis/synthesis, requirements definition and management, function analysis, performance analysis, system design and trade study analysis, system integration and verification modeling and overall model of model’s validation.

  • Model-Based System Engineer will support the execution the program in system engineering / digital engineering.

  • Guide and manage the implementation of the necessary methods, process, tools, training, and network data transfers to establish an efficient, synchronized, and cohesive digital engineering environment across Government and Industry reconciled against the authoritative source of truth.

  • Provide support in establishing the foundation of a digital engineering environment across various tools and classification levels in support of program priorities.

    Material & Equipment Directly Used:

    Computer, Phone, and basic office materials.

    Working Environment:

    Office. 10-30% travel is also expected for this role.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.

  • 6+ years of relevant and recent experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MB SE) / digital engineering.

    Clearance Requirement:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

    Experience / Skills:

  • Model Based Systems Engineering of military aircraft and/or autonomous systems.

  • Experience with CAMEO and SysML.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills and ability to drive results.

  • Highly-motivated and capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Team-oriented self-starter with a strong abilities to multi-task, communicate effectively, resolve conflict in a constructive manner, and produce quality products efficiently.

  • Strong conceptual thinking and innovation skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and public presentation skills.

  • Ability to learn.
