Job Overview
Performs and assists patients in mobility, ambulation and activity under supervision of the Registered Nurse and maintains the patient care and unit environment consistent with the policies, procedures and practices of the Nursing Division. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.
Qualifications
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a Nurse's Aide program and previous hospital or health care experience preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at time of hire or within 3 months of hire.
Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
