Onsite/Remote: Remote Position

This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

This position may be located in Pasco, Washington, or any of the covered territory (Washington, Oregon, and Northern California) per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

Your Responsibilities

As a Territory Business Manager for Ag & Turf in the Pacific Northwest, you will develop and monitor Total Area of Responsibility (AOR) Leadership plans with dealers across all relevant Ag & Turf market segments. In addition, you will:

  • Own the relationship with key decision makers within dealerships.

  • Be accountable for territory dealers (State of Washington, Oregon, Northern California) goals and achieving performance targets (i.e. sales, market share, Precision Ag Technology metrics, Customer Dealer Experience and profitability indicators).

  • Manage dealer development optimization projects.

  • Implement new business strategies by leveraging dealer relationships and business acumen.

  • Be accountable for territory field team dynamics and serving as primary liaison between channel partners and other key functions that support the territory (Product Line Marketing, Financial, Dealer Development, etc).

What Skills You Need

  • Knowledge of John Deere dealer channel, products, parts, service, and finance programs.

  • Broad based business, sales, and marketing skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse stakeholder groups including dealers and customers.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Product expertise (e.g. Precision Ag, Tractors, Combines, Tractors, Sprayers, Small Ag, Turf, Parts, Finance programs, etc.) on a John Deere product or service.

  • Basic understanding of one or more Production Systems (e.g. Small Grains, Livestock/Dairy, etc.).

  • Negotiation, business case development and selling skills experience.

  • MBA degree.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Agricultural Science, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
