Oxarc Maintenance Coordinator in Pasco, Washington

OXARC has been providing welding and industrial supplies, as well as, medical and specialty gases since 1968. OXARC is headquartered in Spokane, Washington with 21 stores in WA, ID and OR.

Job Summary: The maintenance coordinator's responsibilities include implementing preventative maintenance, liaising with service providers, performing regular inspections of equipment and supplies, and diagnosing and fixing any faults on machinery. Provides emergency support to quickly resolve issues with the Plant equipment to reduce downtime and efficiency.

Duties include:

  • Promote, monitor and enforce OXARC EHS policies and procedures in accordance with current regulations.
  • Conduct safety and environmental inspections and observations to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health concerns.
  • Investigate accidents that occur onsite identifying causal factors, root cause, and assign risk rating. Incident follow-up to ensure corrective measures are assigned, implemented, and effective.
  • Complete or assist with job hazard analysis and regular review of completed Job Hazard Analysis. 
  • Conduct and document regular safety meetings or trainings as required by OSHA, EPA, DOT, and OXARC's APP.
  • Performs other EHS related duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

  • Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use
  • Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment
  • Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs ( standard operating procedures) internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies 
  • Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly
  • Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment
  • Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility
  • Maintains inventory of supplies; reorders as needed

Salary Range: The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which is $21.00/hr.-$32.00/hr.--DOE

OXARC offers a competitive salary and benefit package -- full time employees enjoy medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage with three deductible plans to choose from for employee and family, company paid life insurance ($10,000), 401(k) with company match, and employee discount. Paid time off includes 8 paid holidays per year, vacation is prorated based on hire date and employees are eligible to use vacation effective January after hire date, sick leave accrues at 1 hour for every 40 worked, jury duty (up to 30 days), and bereavement leave. Clothing wear out/allowance program. Voluntary benefit options include life, AD&D insurance. Employees are eligible for most benefits on the first of the month following 90 days of employment. However, some benefits have different qualifying periods. Medical, dental, vision and prescription insurance is effective on the 90^th^ day of employment.
