Vision Technology Marine Inc. Project Superintendent (Electrical) in Pascagoula, Mississippi

This is a job for a Project Superintendent (Electrical) position with a company located in the Pascagoula, MS area. 

Basic Function: Coordinates and leads the build strategy efforts and activities for completing the vessel and works under the general direction of the Program Management department.

Responsibilities:  Responsible for coordinating the entire electrical effort of activities happening on the vessel(s) such as monitoring the status of production schedules, efforts of electrical subcontract crafts, & material/receiving orders in addition to developing compartment completion & delivery schedules.

Requirements:  Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in a shipbuilding or related manufacturing field setting in addition to Marine Electrical experience, production planning/scheduling and production supervisory experience. Must be highly knowledgeable within ship production practices and procedures. Must also be able to analyze and interpret blueprints and production drawings, plan cost effective work procedures compatible with quality requirements in addition to being able to effectively communicate, instruct and direct a production team. Basic knowledge in using MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point), problem-solving ability and capability of multi-tasking are required. Also, must be knowledgeable of USCG, regulatory, and customer requirements in addition to craft specific processes and techniques.
