Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding Material Program Coordinator 1919 in Pascagoula, Mississippi

This is a job for a Material Program Coordinator position with a company located in the Pascagoula, MS area.

BASIC FUNCTION: A Material Program Coordinator compiles, monitors, and reports material health and status for the purpose of achieving program milestones and objectives.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES:; Well-organized, with directly applicable experience in resource planning and scheduling. Capable of multi-tasking and handle large volumes of work. Basic knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft word, excel, power point, etc.) Good communication skills, including written and oral communication. Good Organizational skills. Must be able to read and understand purchase order requirements. Must be familiarized with materials, yard functions, and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS: Interfaces with Material Program Managers, Buyers, Accounting personnel, Production Control personnel, and suppliers as required. Verifies and distributes material in the yard as needed, including projected delivery and receipt dates to Material Program Manager. Able to read ad understand purchase order requirements. Communicates with production, purchasing, and engineering the utilization of excess material in lieu of ordering new and/or duplicate items already available. Interfaces with receiving warehouse to validate purchase order requirements vs receipt. Organizes and files documents as directed, in accordance with department requirements. Develops and publishes metrics assessing health of business systems requirements (i.e. time on shelf, order vs need date, etc). Coordinates with Parts Master, Planning and Engineering for new parts creation. Compiles weekly reports to include impacts and status of all material on the assigned program. Assists to ensure goals and objectives of the program are met regarding material health and support to production. Must follow the Company policies and procedures, including those relative to employee safety, environmental policy, and the principles of our quality system. Other duties assigned or requested by Management. Works overtime as required. Reports to work daily and on time.
