C & G Consulting, Inc Combat Systems Tech in Pascagoula, Mississippi

This is a job for Combat Systems Tech position with the company located in Pascagoula, MS area.

Job Summary: Support the Test Division in test services including Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) SPQ14 Display installation, light off, software installation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance/repair, integration repair, integration, engineering, and technical support for ships at the building yard.

Responsibilities: Provide on-site test engineering and technical support for ship industrial testing. Establish and maintain an effective liaison with Supervisor of Shipbuilding and with other Navy, Government, and Contractor activities as required. Participation in at sea testing is required of all test personnel. Underway Trials and travel support of Post Delivery Availabilities and Testing at other locations such as Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, Mayport FL, Pearl Harbor HI and Sasebo Japan will be required. 

Qualifications: High School/GED. 10-15 years of relevant experience with Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) SPQ14 Display troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of associated equipment and systems. Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools. Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment. Ability to travel (less than 10%) to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility.
